We were blessed by another year and another opportunity to teach and lead the youth Gospel Camp out in Cedar Lake Indiana. We had about 18 youth join (total participants were around 250 at the camp), some believers and some not.
Our theme this year was, “What a Glorious Gospel” and during this time, we had 7 sessions to take us through the story of the Bible and the show what the glorious Gospel is. Additionally, we gave out to each participant a missionary book/biography as a way to encourage them to consider the impact that the Gospel has on the lives of those God transforms. But for those who reject God, refusing to repent and believe, the consequence is Hell.
From teaching, to small groups, to games, to food, to camp fires, we had a blessed time together. We were also blessed to have a great group of leaders with us this year too! God was and is good. We trust that God will take the Gospel seeds planted and bring forth fruit in the lives of those present.
We also watched the movie, The Insanity of God and looked at how Jesus is worth our entire life – suffering or not, and how the resurrection changes everything for the believer.
Lastly, we watched a short film about a missionary to a tribal group and how the Gospel, once understood and believed, brings joy and transformation. In fact, I would strongly encourage you to watch it too. It is called, Ee-Taow: The Mouk Story. You can click on the title to watch it for free too. It is a challenging reminder of the darkness of sin and the unbelievable joy through the salvation of Jesus.
We seek to be faithful and trust God with the fruit!
