International Family Co-op Starts

Last Sunday, our International Family Co-op (IFC) had it’s first meeting. First, we want to express our gratitude for so many dear brothers and sisters in Christ helping make this event happen, from teachers, to families, to greeters, to help with the meal, to clean-up and befriending, we are so grateful for each one that helped make it happen!

It was great time with classes for the whole family – from an art class to a math lab to an ESL class to a physics based math game, it was a blessed time. Afterwards they both stayed to eat with us and fellowship.

While we are grateful for a couple international families joining, we would have loved to have more join us. We had to cancel a couple classes due to not enough students, we combined some and adjusted a few things on the fly. At the same time, the two families that came enjoyed their time, their kids’ didn’t want to leave and they sincerely shared that they would invite others for our next event on March 10th. For one family, this was a first time to attend something in a church building and the expressed interest to join more functions at the church.

We will also make adjustments for our next event, work on simplifying the flier and working to re-promote it in a week. We are grateful for who God brought and trust Him that He will bring more or lead us to redirect our energies in other ways. As noted on the site, IFC is on a trial period to see how it goes.

Reality is that we need your prayers for this event, that God would bless and bring more families and God would work through this to bring many to Him. Please pray for us and feel free to join us in this in March!
