Praise God, we just reached 100% of our monthly support through God’s gracious provision and your abundant generosity. God is good and we thank Him and in thanking Him, we thank you – through whom God has graciously provided for us to continue in this ministry to reach internationals and refugees with the message and love of Jesus.
And yet back in November, when we started down the path of serving God in our current role – we had no idea how long or how God would provide the support we needed. Some had shared that we should make our raising support more like a sales pitch effort, others encouraging us that God would simply provide. Some had shared how it took them months to years to raise support. And then there is inflation, increased financial challenges and a 100 things to worry about. If we only looked at what our physical eyes could see, it didn’t make sense to do this work.
It doesn’t take much to start looking down and stop looking at God.
But God has been very gracious and kind to us through His sustaining grace, support and your prayers and support.
Just recently I was at a conference and one thing they shared was that “Satan doesn’t have to destroy us if he can simply distract us.” I can see this for us. It doesn’t take much to distract us with simply being busy, but busy does not mean we are always doing the right things God wants to do. It can be tempting and easy to quickly look at ourselves and our problems and worry about the future that we fail to live for God today by faith. In fact this was often a challenge for jumping into a similar role as this because we would get distracted by a 100 little things, getting worked up in worry and then failing to simply walk by faith and trust God in the process.
And so, without seeing the future, but with a clearer vision of God, we started walking by faith in this role. Yes, there are plenty of challenges and troubles, but that is to be expected in this fallen world. But there has also been the grand blessings of seeing that which human eyes can’t see on there own – the glory of God through a 1,000 blessings. We still have much to learn and grow in, but God is good. Thank you for being part of these 1,000 blessings and encouraging us to keep pressing on and following God in this role.
Please keep praying for us, for apart from God we can do nothing.
Thank you and God bless you.
