For those of you who were aware of God’s blessing to us through providing a 100 tickets to the Toledo Zoo and praying for us, thank you!
Praise the Lord, about 70 students, staff and volunteers came out for a wonderful time of friendship, fellowship, practicing English, sharing about Christmas, weaving gospel threads into our conversations and enjoying the animals. The Toledo Blade even came out and did an article on an international family and our event, which you find here.
And thanks to a staff idea, we had hand warmers for everyone to help with the cold. Additionally, the opportunity gave me (and other fellow believers) an opportunity to more deeply connect not only with our students but also with their spouses and children.
We praise the Lord that through the kindness of God exhibited through my wife, we were able to meet with a family from the middle east as a result of this time at the zoo. God is at work, but at times the work will be slow. As a farmer needs to be patient for the crops, so we seek to patiently plant and water and lean on God to give the growth.
Please continue to pray that God would grow and deepen these new friendships and through it, continue to open a door for the gospel.
